Family activities in Geneva during the Coronavirus

After the first week of school, we can look around and understand what it is to be a parent with the new conditions. Let’s found out what to do in Geneva during the Coronavirus.

The government took new precautions as COVID-19 has spread, but life seems to be almost the same. At the beginning of the school year, kids should have their normal agenda with a lot of activities. If you’re interested in sports activities for your children, here’s the list, suggested by the City of Geneva.

It’s also the time when we can subscribe to the theater in order to attend the best performances. For example, Amstramgram welcomes troops from other countries. The program isn’t that rich as we are used to, but it still offers a variety of options.

Among theater performances, even parents can find interesting workshops with or without their children, and I think that, sometimes, it’s amazing to feel like a child. Indeed, our favourite Théâtre de Marionettes of Geneva offers a series of activities.

In September, there’s a great event, La Journée du Patrimoine, which gives you the opportunity to discover the country. I strongly suggest you to check out the program and spend your weekend learning the history of Switzerland.

Finally, there’s the Musée Barbier-Mueller which is strongly trying to attract a younger audience and it’s a good choice since kids are accompanied by their parents. The collection includes several works of art, representing various cultural traditions from the Early Age to the Present. Each Wednesday, they offer several activities for children.
